“ I work in the real estate business at a title company. I'm going to partner with a friend of mine and flip houses. I've seen other people try it and I don't want to make their mistakes. At 47 years old, I don't have time. As with anything, there is a learning curve. I want to learn what I need to know and start making money. Education costs. I wouldn't expect anybody to offer advice or training for free. People didn't raise their hands a lot at the workshop. I think that's because most of the questions were answered as the presentation went along. It was longer than I thought but that wasn't a problem since it was so informative. Some people left. I wasn't there for free food or a photo op. There were snacks. I ate the granola bar, but I was busy taking notes! ”

“ It is stellar; but you have to do what they tell ya! Frankly, we were stuck in "analysis peristalsis" when we started July '15. The training was great and really gave us the tools and contacts; but it was hard to absorb at our elevated age. We found we really couldn't get started without some "tough love" from the coaches - so use 'em! That said .... our fist flip commenced in Nov '14, the second Jul '15, and the third Aug '15. The third is in escrow now. California's not the easiest/cheapest place to work, but we've turned over $800K in sales, earned $300K in income, and netted $60K ... a 20% ROI to date; and with about 80% other people's money, 20% ours. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was because our first attempt at a short term note "went south" and we found tax liens labor intensive. Hope this helps you all, Steve and Mary ... “ I went to the event last week. I was very excited and motivated to learn about real estate investing. The speaker talked about three different ways to invest. I know the show from HGTV. I watch Tarek and Christina and I always wanted to find out about how they buy houses with cash. I don't have a lot of cash. Now I know what they mean about using "other peoples money." One of my sons and son-in-law are handy in trades. I think fixing up houses would be a good family business for us. It does take money to get started. But I don't think you need to be a rich or have a fancy education. I would like it they had given more information specifically on where to get the money. There is another workshop that they offer, but I did not have the money to go at that time. ”

“ I got a deal on the 3-day training. I was visiting back in Chicagoland and decided to go. I actually extended my visit by a day to be able to attend. Worth it! The very first thing the speaker did was get out a flip chart and ask us what all we what wanted to learn about. Some people said wholesaling, some rental properties, some said expanding capital. On the last day he pulled out the same flip chart and they had answered every question people had. It was three 8-hour days. We broke for lunch, but mostly it was work, work, work. The best thing was that we learned common mistakes to avoid with the first flip. My husband and I had talked about flipping for awhile. He's in dental school and I do payroll for a property management firm. I want to quit my job and spend more time with my daughter. We don't have money to waste, so I'm glad I attended. We learned how to determine which deals are profitable. I'm sure I saved thousands just by not doing a deal I had planned on doing. I'd been driving by a house for months thinking it would make a great flip. I now know there is no way we can make the kind of money to make that deal worth our while. ”

“ Hey everyone, I attended the free preview event at the DoubleTree Hilton in Downtown Orlando this morning at 9am and wanted to give my input to anyone thinking of attending. (I also shared this review on another website). Overall, it was a great event! The hotel was great, location was perfect (easy to get to except for the exit being closed on the 4), and the employees were very professional. I took note of the employees that helped me (in case I had a bad experience like others) and was pleasantly surprised! Ron checked me in at the front and was making everyone laugh and feel comfortable. Nine AM is early on a Saturday (especially if your Fridays are like mine) but he made it bearable. When I went inside the meeting room, Juan was the one directing me to my seat. I asked to sit near the back since I thought I might have to duck out during the presentation to answer business calls and Juan was very accommodating! He is a very personable guy! The speaker was named Mark and he was excellent! He kept the audience involved, laughing and motivated! I ended up taking 4 pages of notes during the event and had a great time networking afterwards. I signed up for the 3-day event that is happening next weekend and am excited to start investing! Did a get a sense of a scam? No. Did I get a sales pitch? Of course. But y'all! A sales pitch isn't a scam! Come on! We've got this Orlando!! I would like to update my review after attending the 3-day workshop! ”

“ Tarek & Christina El Moussa started Success Path as a way of teaching students the do's and don'ts of real estate investing based off their own mistakes. I attended a seminar and then went on to pay for the 3-day weekend. While it was a lot of money to pay upfront I learned SO much about flipping and real estate. I started the program only knowing what I watched on HGTV (embarrassing, I know). My husband and I attended the 3-day event and it is super intensive. I think I went in expecting to pick granite colors and the best laminate flooring for a flip property but you get WAY more than that! They go over financing, timelines, working with investors and understanding your market. It was a ton of information and definitely worth the cost. ”

“ I really enjoyed my opening seminar - super pumped! The speaker shared some really great information. I feel like the actual training will be even better, since I'm sure that's where they keep the good stuff. It's a lot to save up (I'm still working on it, myself), but I've done the math and it looks like a good source of income if you have the skill set, assuming the market is suitable for flipping homes in your area. We have a lot of old homes in parts of town that could use some lovin'. I'll probably keep the first one as a rental property, though. Maybe sell it later. Again, still saving up for the training. But my old college roommate is already working on fixing up his first home down in Provo. Maybe he'll have some advice. ”

“ My experience was similar to Felicia's. I'm about four months away from being a new mom (yay me!) and I really want to have my kids' (plural - twins!) future taken care of early on. So when I was talking with my stepfather about my concerns, he recommended I look into real-estate and that I could use his own wealth and experience as a safety net if I got out there and did the work. I attended my preview event this afternoon and I'm excited to say that I'm on board. I was already doing the math on my little hotel notepad to see what I could make for my little ones. I just hope they'll cover taxes and fees and any other costs that might eat into my profit. That stuff is important, but I don't think they mentioned that. ”

Why is everyone so negative?

“ I'm seeing a pretty common theme here, and it almost makes me wonder if Yelp is extorting businesses for money. Look at the majority of reviews here and tell me what you see. You know what I see? A bunch of people who 1) haven't actually used the business' services and 2) are upset because a TV celebrity didn't come out to visit them. As if Tarek and Christina don't have a family of their own in addition to their own TV show. News flash. Celebrities will not spend their own money to fly out to see you for free. If you want to meet a celebrity, pay money, get your ass in gear and work - put what you learn here to use and make some money. This isn't a business for stay at home moms to meet TV stars - based on most of the reviews here, you'd think it was. Now look at the "not recommended" reviews. People who have actually worked with the company. See a pattern? Success Path has made me money. I spent money. I got educated. I worked my ass off. I got money back in return. I'm closing on my second house soon. Not my second house for flipping. My second house for living in. I had a really sales-pitch-oriented speaker at my free event, too. It was annoying at first, but that's how they make money. There's nothing wrong with a business making money. If you don't want someone to sell you something, don't interact with a business. It's as simple as that. Tarek and Christina weren't there, either. But I didn't really care, because they're just a pair of pretty faces. Afterward, it was more relaxed. There are multiple tiers, but they're all optional. Each one costs more and each one gets you more of an education and more of a hands-on experience with what they call coaches. I took full advantage of the financing resources they had, because you'll never find financing anywhere else that cheap. Just be aware that this financing is best for a quick turnaround. Ideal for flipping if you stay on your toes and close/turnaround quickly. ”

“ I am a CPA in the Orlando area and attended the downtown Orlando event this past weekend. It's tax season so I am swamped at work but decided to make this a priority since i've been interested in real estate investing for years - but didn't know how to start. The event provided lots of information for beginners and some intermediate attendees. I wish they would have told more about funding deals but I understand they have to keep some cards close. I signed up for the event next weekend since I know if I don't start now, who knows when I can. The part I really appreciated was dealing with family who doesn't support your investing decisions. I feel that a lot of people can relate to this. But as an accountant I back up what the speaker said about never being able to attain true wealth without diversifying your investments. Real estate investing is the next step for me but my family scoffs at this. The point the speaker made was these naysayers will continue to talk down to you about investing but have they done it? No. Are they wealthy? No. You have to take formulated risks and this is the best decision for me and my financial future. Just thought I'd share my major take-aways! Hope to meet some other investing Floridians next weekend! ”

“ The preview in Orlando was a great event! Very professional and I didn't get the slightest whiff of a scam going on. My husband was with me and also really loved it - and he's a huge skeptic. There's paid training available at the event but it's not required at all. The man teaching the class actually said this isn't for everyone and if you aren't serious about real estate investing, enjoy the event and don't worry about signing up! He never pressured anyone to sign up and never called anyone out for not signing up. Professionalism was displayed from the minute I walked in until the moment I left. My only complaint was the room was pretty filled so I had a hard time looking over the tall gentleman in front of me to see the presentation. However, the chairs were super comfy! If you have kids that you can't find a sitter for, bring them! One woman in my class was wearing her baby in a baby bjorn and they did great! The event is worth going out to and I'm excited to start investing in Orlando! ”

“ My Wife and I went to the free seminar in Pasadena CA and paid two thousand to go to a 3 day seminar where we were told we would learn how to Flip houses in California. At the three day we learned more than enough to start flipping houses!!! The best thing about the program is we had the option to continue with further education AND mentorship if we wanted. Or with the information taught we could go out and start killing it. My wife and I are REALLY BIG into education so we continued with further education and mentorship which proved to be priceless! All I can honestly say is that we've been doing this for a year and some change now and we've earned all the money that we put into our education and then some!!!! In the last 12 months my wife and I have earned SIX TIMES my annual salary!!!!!! This is not a joke!!!!! I've read some of the other reviews on here and all I can say is you have to put in your own Hustle!! The program teaches you everything you need to know about getting into the real estate flipping game however they won't give you a house!! You have to go out and find it!!!! “ I only attended the first class and thought it was excellent. I would have liked to purchase the weekend but I could not afford it since I only receive government checks. I attended by myself and wish I had brought one of my friends since they would have found it interesting as well. I thought the couple from HGTV were going to be there but it was just a video of them at the beginning. I didn't mind that much since it was nice to be out of the house and learning about real estate. Each chair had some materials and snacks on it. I got some fruit snacks, cheese crackers and a pack of nutter butters. The presenter spoke for about 2 and a half hours and did a great job. At the end I received a portable mp3 player. I would love to come to another event if they come back to Phoenix. ”

We each put in $20k of our personal funds in a property that we thought was perfect but so many things went wrong. We ended up having to take a huge loss. “ I attended the workshop as a guest of my mom. I started watching Tarek and Cristina with her a couple of years ago. She loves fixing houses, looking at houses, watching other people look at houses. She takes care of my kids for me while I'm at work so sometimes when I pick up them up T & C are on. So I knew who they were. It would of been cool to meet them, but they weren't there. Looking back, the invite that came in the mail never said they would be there. It just had their picture on it, so whatever. It was a good presentation with a lot of good information. I don't know where the average person would get the information otherwise. I mean, it might be available, but I don't know where exactly? And I don't know if it would be as up to date as the information we were shown. I work in a call center and I'll never be able to save money for my kids' education on what I make. I was thinking about going back to school but I don't know what to take or if I could even get a job afterwards. I know this program costs money, but I feel like so does everything else. If I want to learn to do hair, give a massage, or do medical billing that would cost money, too. ”

“ I went to the workshop just outside of Orlando, FL this week. I will say that I wish they picked a different venue. Parking was ridiculous. I ended up getting to the event 15min after it started because I couldn't find the entrance. The first presenter was really good! He gave a lot of good tips on how to be successful at flipping, and clearly explained the benefits of different property types. I did feel annoyed the presenters kept pushing this training thing every 5 min, but it makes sense that they need to make $ to continue having these workshops. Overall I would highly recommend that everyone that flips houses goes to this. ”

“ I am an experienced real estate investor and took the time to attend the free event to see what it was all about. Pleased with what was being taught I spend the $1995 to attend the three-day workshop the following weekend. I have an extensive real estate portfolio and let me tell you, the workshop was very helpful. Some of the information was basic but that really helped first timers. When they got in to the tax information and lending that's where I learned lots of new information. The three days were full of information for flippers, investees, landlords, etc. I have already started implementing the skills I was taught and this past tax season was a breeze. Usually I'm clueless and just hand everything to an accountant but this time around I knew what was actually going on. My own 2 cents: You are never done learning about the real estate market. It is constantly changing and there are always new laws and regulations being put in play. You need to continue to educate yourself whether you go back to school, attend a workshop, etc. It's all necessary. ”

“ I just got back home from a Success Path seminar in Kissimmee that I attended a few hours ago. I bit the bullet and bought in, but I have to say that my wife definitely had something to do with it. My only real issue was that it wasn't easy to find. The hotel where the event was held is huge and not easy to navigate. I wish the Success Path people had made it easier to find the event. My wife and I were a few minutes late even though we planned on being there early. When it comes to the event itself, it's really motivating. We've always known that there's money in real estate. The question is where to start. That's the question they answered, with the caveat that you could also find success if you follow their guide. Well, it worked on us. And since there are a few options for a money-back garauntee, we figured it was worth the shot. Don't get me wrong. I'm crazy nervous. But I can't really judge something without giving a try first. ”

“ This review is about my mom's success since she doesn't want to make an account. Preface: My mom hardly knows how to use a computer but was able to successful secure a rental property. My mom spent the money to get a mentor and they are the most patience people ever. They talked her through working all their programs online and how to properly use Excel (that's a huge accomplishment in my book if you know my mother). My mom went on and found the properties (her biggest accomplishment) and they helped her with funding, paperwork, what to actually fix up for renters, listing, finding tenants, etc. My mom know has a profit of $895 coming in every month (minus property management fees) and is currently looking for another rental property. If my mom can do it, so can you! ”

The speaker had us laughing and at ease while also teaching us some great real estate strategies. I do believe that they have more to offer and after a quick phone call to my wife, we have decided that it would be a good investment for a small portion of our savings. Less than $2000 really is such a small investment. I've read the reviews who cry "scam" and I understand your disappointment with Tarek and Christina's lacking presence at this free preview event. However, I cannot agree with your analysis, as it seems to be based on your desire to meet a celebrity, rather than to learn from one. I did not feel even remotely that this could be a "scam". A couple quick notes: The presenter was very personable and involved the audience quite a bit. I really liked that. My only complaint, and it is a minor one at that, was that the fellow made a joke about a meth lab and alternate income sources. I'm sure it was funny to most - it got quite a laugh from the audience. ”

“ I'm all for writing a negative review when it's deserved but I am not understanding the negative reviews from Yelpers. Let me explain... You attend a free event where you are told you will learn real estate strategies that Tarek and Christina implement (we love their show which is why we wanted to go). I 100% received this information. I don't know if your event was having a bad night, but my expectations were met. I also received some short Ebooks and a MP3 player for free. Granted, I'm sure it can only hold 3 songs but it was free. Tarek and Christina weren't at my event but I was never told they would be? I think that's where Yelpers are getting upset. You are setting expectations that weren't presented in the first place. Anyways, I attended with my girlfriends in CA and we all left feeling excited about investing and motivated in our personal lives! I paid $0 and left feeling motivated, that's worth something! There is a chance to buy a mentoring workshop package but our presenter wasn't pushy about it. We expected a sales pitch and they delivered. We didn't sign up but unlike other Yelpers, we didn't feel excluded at that point. The presenter was understanding and we left feeling uplifted. Anyways, hate to break the negative cycle but I just had to put in my 2 cents. ”

“ I attended a workshop when I was visiting my wife's family back east. I wouldn'tve normally attended an event like this. I get cards in the mail all the time for seminars, but I usually just chuck them out. My father-in-law wanted me to go and give him my opinion. He's worked in construction trades and my mother-in-law likes DIY shows so it peaked their interest. I don't have any experience in real estate or trades, but I do have a degree in business so my wife's dad respects my opinion. The event was held at a hotel not far from the freeway. Parking was easy. We were greeted by a woman who told us to fill out a card. It didn't ask for any real personal information. Just name and address, basically. She gave us a nametag and we went in. The room was about 3/4 full eventhough we were right on time. It did fill up later, though, and they added more chairs. It was a cold day. I wish there had been hot coffee. There were snacks, but we didn't eat them. Brochures lined the rows of chairs. They were nicely-produced but didn't offer more than general information. Everything I learned was from the speaker. He was great! It's a top-notch program. I have P & L responsibility in my capacity as a department manager. I'm used to evaluating things for a living. Believe me, this checks out. Many people will get enough information to starting flipping houses right after the 3-day event. They have coaches and mentors if you need them as you work through your first deal. They have a guarantee and will stay with you until you recoup the investment in your training. There is a sales ptich, I suppose. But if you buy a car, a house, or attend church for that matter, you are going to be pitched. There is an element of risk with anything, I suppose. But nothing ventured, nothing gained. My FIL signed up for the 3-day training. He got a lot out of it and is actively looking for his first deal. He learned how to get leads before they get to the market, what projects to take on himself and what to outsource, and how to find a buyer before the renovation is even complete. Well worth the investment. I wish I could partner with him, but I don't need to get into a long-distance flip at this point. As a newbie I need something close to home. If the workshop ever comes anywhere near me, I'll be there. ”

“ I wanted to share my thoughts on the Success Path event I attended. I only attended the free one, sorry if you wanted more info. I am a HUGE Flip or Flop fan and when I saw their ad on my Instagram I knew I had to attend. I was hoping Christina and Tarek would attend since the event was in LA and they are from Orange County. Did I expect them to attend? No. But I was definitely hoping! As most of you know they didn't attend but there was a video of them talking about what we were going to be presented. First off, the venue was stellar. The hotel was great, there was plenty of parking and I easily found the event room it was going to be presented in. I stopped at a front desk and got a name tag and they scanned my confirmation email. I went in and found a seat near the front. On the seat there were some snack packs and a bottle of water plus the event materials. The event last around 3 hours since I stayed for the tax lien stuff. I knew I wasn't going to be able to afford anything they were selling so I wanted to get as much info as I could out of the free stuff. At the end of the event we were given our free ebook instructions plus a mp3 player. I am satisfied by the event! Tarek and Christina have great staff and it was a very professional time. ”

“ My parents built their retirement investing in real estate and that's something my small family has been wanting to do as well. Real estate is a smart investment if you are in the right area and we believe we are. So when I got the mail piece addressed to me and my wife, we decided to take the leap and go to the event. We attended the free workshop and then went on to sign up for the 3-day workshop due to the information they advertised. My wife and I went home and read lots of negative reviews but I had to try it out for myself so I went while my mom stayed home with our kids (we couldn't find a babysitter for that much time). So I showed up to the 3-day and spoke with some of their staff about my concerns and the reviews I read online. It seemed that they were use to addressing these concerns and they told me to sit through day 1 and see how I felt. I am so glad I sat through that first day because the information provided blew me away. They start off by asking you what you want to hear and make a list of EVERYTHING everyone wants to learn. Then throughout the week they make sure they cover everything on that list plus more. The very last day they sit down with you and go over your goals and then they make the option to purchase mentorships, coaches, etc. It really is a great deal. Even if you don't have the funds for the further training, go to the weekend event and get the info you need. It is worth it. I was also able to network with other great people in my area and create some great partnerships. If you had a bad experience or claim you didn't get any info out of the week, I have no idea why. Everyone who left our event left motivated and ready to invest. Good luck to everyone with their investments! ”
